Rex Club has been around for a long time but its rise in popularity in more recent times has been intimately tied to its association with France’s most famous and internationally renowned Techno dj, Laurent Garnier. Garnier’s weekly Thursday night residency became at one point a veritable Mecca of Paris Techno. Although Rex Club became well known for its Techno nights, other music genres are well represented as this Club can be sort of a dj soup kitchen. You could be served some tasteful Hip Hop, House, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Electro or World depending on the night or the dj's doing the cooking. Doors open late, so don't bother going before midnight. Either way, you’re going to need stamina. The party rages till the wee hours of the morning, so pack your vitamins. Rex Club’s crowd is energetic. Not much lounging around going on here. These people come to party! The club’s atmosphere is festive and casual and has a no fuss door policy to match. You’re pretty much sure to get in as long as overcrowding does not become an issue, due to limited space. Cover charge varies night to night but is generally lower than other high visibility night clubs. I don't believe the club is open on Monday and Tuesday nights, but you can check the weekly schedule at Rexclub.com (French only site) |
